Event Descriptions
Cartoons Galore!
StoryTelling Alice is just the software you need for cartoon epics! Use 3-D objects and characters to learn the basics of programming and animation.
Robotics at the Robot Zoo
In this workshop, you’ll study some fundamentals of robotics. You’ll learn basic engineering as you build animal robots that can walk, crawl, hop and roll! After you assemble your creation, you will learn to program its behaviors so that your robot will act like its real animal cousin.
Wireless Treasure Hunt
You will learn about wireless technologies by hunting down clues for a “buried” treasure. You will use laptops to find all the clues which will unlock the code to the final treasure.
You Ought To Be In Pixels
Lights! Camera! Action! Shoot a movie, learn to edit it with iMovie and add a sound-track. Maybe there’s an Oscar with your name on it!
What's in the Box?
What’s a mother-board look like? Or a micro-chip? This hands-on session will explore the inside of a personal computer. Screwdrivers provided!
Persona Magazine
What is your persona? What would best define an extension of your personality? Using Photoshop we will design magazine “covers” that thematically reflect your persona’s characteristics.
